The much anticipated snowstorm started off great! Big flakes of snow falling. A great accumulation – about 8 to 10 inches by 7am. I was deep in the snow but my new boots kept the snow and moisture out.

It rained in the afternoon, washing away most of the snow and turning what was there previously into nasty grey slush. Puddles at almost every corner. Sometimes much deeper than expected.

By the evening, there were little signs of snow in the city but plenty of slushy puddles. It was a disappointing snowstorm. I knew there would be rain but I also expected snow to follow the rain.

This snowstorm wasn’t that big of a deal. Granted we haven’t seen this much snowfall in years but if this was hardly anything to get as excited about.
